Credit Cards

June 5, 2010

Credit cards?

To me, credit cards can be defined in 3 ways.

Firstly, bankers are like Ah Longs. They go around promoting credit cards. Force a person to live in debt. Then, ‘legally’ take the propeties of the debtor.

Secondly, credit cards are like contributors to global warming. Because of credit cards, everyone starts purchasing stuff without thinking twice whether the stuff is really necessary. Hence, there are lotsa waste around at home. I even have friends promoting their extra dresses/outfit that they’ve bought back then via facebook. Fine, at least they realized that they had too many outfits that even 365 days are not enough for them to try on all the outfits. But the ironic part is that they still buy MORE OUTFIT! Too much of money to waste or too much of space at home to place closets for their outfits? I really have no idea on that.

If only credit cards do not exist. Would people still spend like how they used to do?

In fact, I see the world as no debts as people will start saving money to buy their desired stuff.

With all the extra stuff and waste we’ve caused, imagine the contribution we’ve made to the global warming? It’s as if those things we bought fell from the sky – no resources needed to produce them.

Lastly, credit cards are like well-trained teachers who teach us nothing but how to OWE PEOPLE!
